NEW High Traffic Performance

StreetPrint XD™ is an exciting extension to the Company’s proven StreetPrint™ pavement texturing product that provides increased performance and durability in more demanding environments.  Designed primarily for crosswalks, commercial entranceways and parking lots, StreetPrint XD gives an authentic brick look without the trip hazards and ongoing maintenance often associated with brick pavers and stamped concrete.
 
The StreetPrint XD installation process starts in the same manner as original StreetPrint, with the asphalt base being gently heated by our StreetHeat™ reciprocating infrared heater, followed by imprinting of the brick pattern using wire templates.  However, instead of coating the printed asphalt with StreetBond™ epoxy-acrylic coating as is done with original StreetPrint, the surface is instead treated with a thick, tough layer of IPC’s unique aggregate-reinforced thermoplastic.  This StreetPrint XD material is melted onto the surface using the reciprocating heater, after which it is sanded and post-printed to create an authentic brick appearance with a skid resistant texture.
 
In terms of both price and performance, StreetPrint XD slots in between original StreetPrint and our *Imprint™ synthetic asphalt product that is designed for the highest levels of performance and durability.  This family of products gives Shariden Design Asphalt the broadest range of brick-look solutions in the industry.  Together, they re suitable for virtually any traffic and climactic condition – from residential driveways to major horoughfares.  A unique feature of StreetPrint XD is the ability to easily incorporate white “zebra stripes” that make the product highly suitable for both intersection and school zone crosswalk applications.
 
StreetPrint XD has been undergoing field testing for the past two years and will be available on a limited release basis in selected geographic areas starting in the second quarter of 2009.
